A few new cards to add to the collection.

Wow what a great opening game for the 2011 season.  And we even held onto win!!! That's always good.

I've really haven't been hitting the packers cards too hard other than some team sets and random pulls but I did pick up a couple nice cards recently.

First we have a Gameday auto from 2011 Topps Football. Jordy is currently my favorite packer right now, but after Randall Cobbs performance last Thursday Jordy better watch out.  Jordy still had a great game, picking up right were he left off in the Super Bowl.

And next a great card with some classic players.

2011 Elite Book card dual jersey with Paul Hornung and Forrest Gregg.  #d to 99

1997 ProFlicks Packers

I bought two boxes of these at trade night the other night.  I couldn't resist, for the price of a pack of cards I got a slew of cool oddball football cards.  And I also got a few Packers to add to my collection. I did put up a bigger post of the box break over at Collector's Crack

Will start off with the late and great Rev. Reggie White.

Here's what the box looks like.

Not a bad checklist in the product either, some great HOFer's in here, and some not so hot anymore guys too.

Chewy.  Poor Mark got injured in 1999 against the Lions and was never the same.  He is probably best remembered in Wisconsin for his trial for allegedly having sex with his 17 year old baby sitter.  He was acquitted.

And lastly the Favres.
One of these is the refractor parallel but the scan makes it impossible to tell which.  I do know that the Reggie White up top was a Refractor as well.
I was really hoping to pull a QB Greats Favre too but I ended up with two Troy Aikmans.

And of course this was put out after the Packers SuperBowl XXXI win, so it's got that going for it too.

2010 Topps Super Bowl XLV Packers Set

I'm back baby!

Well after a whirlwind 2 weeks in the lower 48 I'm back at work and it's snowing in April.  Ah Alaska.  I had such a good trip got to go to Lambeau for lunch and a tour to start the vacation and ended the vacation with a baseball game at Wrigley Field.  Both of which I plan to post about over at Collector's Crack.

But while at Lambeau I visited the gift shop which was a bit overwhelming.  Having not lived in Wisconsin for over 13 years the pure variety Packer stuff was incredible.  I was very good I got out of the store for under 30 bucks.  I bought a very nice Super Bowl pennant.
I also picked up the Topps Super Bowl XLV Packers set.  I had been looking online and found the price with shipping to be outrageous and my local LCS had sets for 12 bucks and I was probably going to pick one up when I came back but I saw the sets at the Packers Pro Shop for under 10 bucks so I picked it up.

Matt over at Heartbreaking cards has already posted the checklist.

But here is the full set in pictures with backs.

There you have it the full 27 card set.  I like that Topps did a 27 card set as it all fits nicely into three 9 pocket pages.
