I week to go

Man I'm getting excited.  Regular season officially starts in a week (at least for the Giants and Cowboys) and the Pack gets to test their mettle against what was a pretty decent 49ers team last year. I'm really hoping that all those defensive draft picks work out, cause we need it, and I'm also excited to have a veteran running back in the back field to mix it up.

3 Months already.

Wow has it really been 3 months since I posted on here?  Yikes.  Well to be honest it's been quiet in the realm of the Packers.  We won't be making any waves in the draft and we don't seem to have any drama brewing with the team this off season.  I've picked a few cards up. Read a few articles about the health of the team, yada yada yada, but since the only football releases have been insanely high end or Panini, I've not been in a football mood. That said the real reason I wanted to post something here is so I don't get booted off the blog rolls for inactivity and can reset the clocks.  Petty I know and I apologize if you read this post thinking there would be something of substance. I've been pretty busy posting over at Collector's crack and even on a  few of my team and player specific blogs, just not here.  I will share my one and only Packers TTM success so far.  I've only sent one so I'm batting 100%. Plus if you read Collector's Crack you've already seen this.

One is for me the other for part of my brother's birthday present.

I just picked up a set of 89 Score Supplemental football for super cheap and am half tempted to send Sterling's rookie card to him to sign as well.  I think I got these two back in less than 2 weeks.

My new Favorite Jordy Nelson Rookie Card and an spiffy new AJ Hawk card.

I was digging through my eTopps cards that I just got and found this great Jordy Nelson rookie from 2008.

I really like the 2008 design and it's numbered to 699.  Too bad eTopps is now dead but there are some great cards out there.

I also just got this bad boy in the mail.

You can just see the white peaking out on the left.  A great steal if I do say so myself.

I ended up picking this card up for more than I would have liked, but the Packers are hot right now.  But I got this cheaper than any of the other die-cuts I've seen on Ebay.  Someone actually has one listed for 60 bucks!

Anywho it's Super Bowl Die cut card from the Topps Legends website.  I've redeemed all my codes and never unlocks a single card.  There's also a Gold number version of all the cards.  The Aaron Rodgers cards are going for huge bucks right now too.  But I'm glad I snagged this one when I did.

I hope my brother didn't jinx us...

I was talking to my brother who still lives in Northern Wisconsin and he brought up the unbringupable subject of the perfect season.  We shall not speak of such things here until it happens.  Until then we will only speak of what is done.

Bring on the Chiefs!!!!

Cliched the NFC north already 12-0 and Rodgers is over 3,000 yards for the year and a shoo in for MVP.

Life is good for this Packers fan.

Ten and Oh Yeah!

10 Oh Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yikes again.  After dismantling the Vikings in Week 10, the Pack seems to be back to it's old ways in Week 11.  That being said the defense still had 2 takeaways and we still put up 35 points. But man the Packers defense is killing me in fantasy football.  But man is Jordy Nelson having a year.  So far he's racked up 756 yards and 9 touchdowns.

And a Thanksgiving game against the Lions that might actually be good and is relevant.  The Pack hasn't played the Lions yet this year and holy crap did they come roaring back.  I was playing against Stafford in Fantasy this week and he just blew me away.  51 freaking points and he was listed as Probable and has a broken finger.  

Bring on the turkey and Lions, I'll be up bright and early for this one the game starts at 8:30 here in Alaska.
