That's 3 in a row.

First off I want to say welcome back to Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb. Randy was pretty quite in the first half. Hell I'm not even sure he played the first half. But he sure as hell had a great second half.  And while Aaron looked a little rusty there at the start I think he blew the dust off pretty quick.

And it was a great game between the longest football rivalry in the NFL. I mean the Bears were definitely there to play.

And even if the 49ers still have our number, we can say at least we beat the Bears in Soldier Field for the Divisional Championship. I'm just hoping we can pull it together and beat the Niners at home.

Alright it's pretty clear I'm having a hard time putting words together this morning. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the week knowing the team got it done.

Flynn Street?

As a Packer fan I would never root for the Packers to lose.  But part of me on Sunday was kind of hoping that maybe it would be close and if we lost we could stop talking about having to rush Rodgers back.  And of course after watching that terrible first half I thought it might come true.  But I sure didn't want to go out being handed our ass by the worst defense in the NFL and Tony Romo.

An unbelievable, nail biting comeback has sent me wondering.  What happens now if Rodgers does come back? What if we win out? What if the Bears and the Lions tank? I mean the Ravens already helped us out last night, barely. I wasn't expecting too much out of the Browns, but now that Cutlers back.... We're living on a prayer right now, but if a miracle happens and this team goes to the Super Bowl or hell maybe just makes it a few rounds in the playoffs, I'd say that Green Bay owes this man a street or at least a cul-de-sac.

I've got a rib dinner on that Packers - Bears game at the end of the season, come on Rodgers!!!!

1997 Upper Deck Collectors Choice Packers Team set.

Dark days here at Long Way from Lambeau world headquarters.  I guess we find out tomorrow how screwed we Packer fans are this season.  I have hopes that Seneca Wallace, with a full week as starting quarterback, will be able to help us limp through Rodgers injury. I also hope the defense can step it up as well.

But in the mean time I thought I'd highlight a great little set I picked up for cheap at Bosco's warehouse sale a few weeks ago.  This is a great set featuring the 1997 Packers team.  Fresh off their 1996 Super Bowl win. This team would repeat with another great season and a back to back appearance in the big game. Of course the team would lose to Denver in that game, but still until recently one of the best Packer teams in modern history.
This set is great because you get a couple guys that didn't get many cards during there careers.  Like Sean Jones and the great Gilbert "Gravedigger" Brown.

I still remember the Gilbert Brown Whopper you could get in Wisconsin Burger Kings back then. It was pretty insane the amount of stuff they put on that burger.

Woe is me.

It's ain't good news for the Packer faithful. Rodgers is out with a collar bone fracture. How long? Who knows. But what is clear he's out for the foreseeable future and right now the only guys we got is this guy.

The Packers/Bears game was suppose to be a blowout in the Packers favor. With a second string quarterback on the Bears the expectations were that Packers were going to run wild over the Bears.  Well it turns out McCown ain't that bad, and he had all week to get ready for the Packers.

I think Seneca still had Cheeto stains on his hands when he came into the game and looked a little wide eyed. Let face it how many snaps does he get in practice?  I think most of his time is spent holding the ball for Mason Crosby during kicking practice.  But like it or not this is our guy at least for the next game.  The Pack will have to get a back up to our back up and in a hurry, but I'm pretty sure Seneca will be starting against Eagles next week. But Seneca has experience and he's about to get a lot of reps in practice with 1st team.

It wasn't so long ago I was predicting the season was over in 2010 when Rodgers got hurt and Flynn replaced him to almost beat the Patriots.  I'm worried, but optimistic. The Packers strive on adversity. The 2010 season which had a ton of injuries is a great example and this season was looking to be about the same.   Of course Rodgers only missed one game that season due to injury, he could very well miss a lot more this season.

2013 Topps Football Packers Team set

Well the Pack was off to a rocky start and with all the injuries it's been a tough year already and we're only half way through. And I know it's been awhile since I posted, but what can you do?

Here we have the Packers team set from this years Topps Football set.  Don't confuse this with the package team set that should come out later this year.  We get 3 rookies including Eddie Lacy who's already proven his mettle, Johanathan Franklin and the Packers first round choice Datone Jones.
